Dear Westford residents,
I feel so fortunate and privileged to have been selected to serve as your new town manager. As I stated in my interview, Westford appeared to be exactly what I was looking for in my next community - quaint New England charm, historic value and preservation, thriving agricultural and other businesses, protected conservation land, good schools, professional, dedicated staff, and most of all - an active, engaged population. Westford is truly this and much more - a vibrant, naturally-beautiful community, filled with exciting opportunities now and in the future! I am delighted that the Board of Selectmen have allowed me the chance to work for such a wonderful town - a place I hope to also call home soon.
I started work on August 11th and it has been a whirlwind of activity since then - meeting town officials, department heads, employees, and residents from all areas of town; touring town facilities; and learning my way around Westford (with my handy Roudenbush map always close at hand). With each new person I meet, it just confirms what a wonderful town Westford is. Yes, we have issues and concerns needing to be addressed - but with the dedicated volunteers and professional town staff eager and poised to seek solutions collaboratively to these matters, I feel optimistic and enthused about the successes that await us!
I want to assure you that I am deeply committed to working tirelessly, cooperatively, openly, and in a positive, goal-oriented manner while we continue to address the many challenges and opportunities facing us.
I am currently located in the police department but will be moving within the next several weeks to the Millenium School. Please either call or email me, or drop by whenever convenient to introduce yourselves - I look forward to meeting and working with all of you!
Sincerely,
Westford Town Manager
