The Board of Health is responsible for protecting the public health of the community by adopting relevant local health regulations and by carrying out preventative programs. The Board oversees the activities of the Director of Environmental Services, the Director of Health Care Services, and has responsibility for enforcing the State health, sanitary and environmental codes. The Board is made up of five elected Board members who serve for three year terms. Generally the Board of Health meets at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Monday of each month and are scheduled to meet in the Westford Academy Library.
