OPERATION OF QUARRY AS NUISANCE
VIOLATIONS OF 310 CMR 7.10

On January 25, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Stony Brook School (9 Farmers Way, Westford), the Town of Westford Board of Health will convene a public hearing to determine whether the operations at the Merrill Quarry, located near the town line where Tyngsboro Road (Westford) and Swan Road (Tyngsborough) meet, constitute a nuisance, subject to regulation by the Board of Health pursuant to G.L. c. 111, §§122-125 and 310 CMR 7.10.  This notice is based on numerous complaints about excessive noise, dust and other disturbances from the site received by the Board beginning on or about this past Fall of 2009.
