Dear Residents,

We have received a few small shipments of flu vaccine.  Therefore, we are scheduling additional clinics and we are expanding the priority groups. The availability of H1N1 flu vaccine remains limited. We will schedule clinics as soon as more vaccine arrives.  As vaccine becomes more plentiful, we will expand the priority groups to include persons 19-64 who have chronic medical conditions. The DPH has informed us that this might be possible by the end of December or early January. When supplies improve, the DPH will advise us when to vaccinate this group.

Seasonal flu clinics are different.  Most of the vaccine that we expected from the state has arrived. To date, we have provided 4 seasonal flu clinics and vaccinated over 2400 people. We have vaccinated more people this year than in past years. Consequently, the December 17th clinic might be our final clinic for seasonal flu inoculation.
