The Board of Health is responsible for protecting the public health of the community by adopting relevant local health regulations and by carrying out preventative programs. The Board oversees the activities of the Director of Environmental Services, the Director of Health Care Services, and has responsibility for enforcing the State health, sanitary and environmental codes. The Board is made up of five elected Board members who serve for three year terms. Generally the Board of Health meets once per month on a Monday at 7:00 PM (unless holidays or workload require additional or different meeting dates) and typically meet in All Purpose Room (APR) in the Millennium Building located at 23 Depot Street. Please call the BOH office for specific dates, times, and potential alternate locations.
